The Certified Internal Auditor Exam has centers located worldwide throughout the year. The examination is valid for 180 days after registration, and the three parts can be chosen to appear separately on different days or complete all three sections in a day.
The score for CIA Certification is on a scale of 250 to 750 marks with no negative marking. A score of 600 or higher is required to pass the exam. If the candidate secures a passing score, the score will indicate no numeric score. If the candidate fails, the numeric score is indicated.
The score is official once the IIA publishes the reports, though candidates receive an unofficial report right after they take the test at the Prometric center.
