Certification in the field of IT auditing, or CISA, is a globally recognized credential earned through ISACA by demonstrating proficiency in the areas of information technology governance, risk management, and the audit and control of information systems.
To gain certification as a CISA, an individual must successfully pass the CISA exam and possess five years of relevant experience working within the fields of IT audit, control and security.
Only one exam is required for obtaining the CISA certification. The CISA exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.
The amount of time allotted for completion of the CISA exam is four hours.
